The Christina Parker Gallery is honoured to present Harbour, an exhibition by John Hartman, who is recognized as one of Canada’s leading contemporary artists.

Since the mid 1990’s, Hartman has investigated the rhythm of the landscape in Newfoundland through his remarkable painting and printmaking. His images have been collected from travels through outport communities and from captivating promontory viewpoints around St. John's, such as the Battery, Signal Hill and the Southside Hills.

Harbour is a presentation of new oil paintings and pastels together with watercolours created between 2003 and 2008 and a new 3 colour drypoint that has been produced and printed at St. Michael’s Printshop especially for this exhibition.
