	The Big Picture 5/18/2007-5/6/2007 May 18th - June 9th, 2007 Marlene MacCallum Ned Pratt Peter Wilkins Ellie Yonova New directions in contemporary Newfoundland photography are presented in The Big Picture, a thematic exhibition that features four of the Province’s most accomplished photographers; Marlene MacCallum, Ned Pratt, Peter Wilkins, and Ellie Yonova. Considered collectively, the work offers a unique exploration into representation and abstraction that utilizes both historical technologies and contemporary digital manipulation. While the four artists present a diverse range of formal photographic methods, all are linked by a shared interest in invoking a sense of place beyond simple photographic documentation. The exhibition highlights the emergence of a new generation of photographers who have extended the creativity and flexibility of photography.
